Our past projects range from alpine to coastal landscapes, including design of intimate courtyards, streetscaping, parks and reserves.
In the examples below, the transformation of these properties called for elements such as new walling and columns to complement the style of the architecture and complete the aesthetic, providing solid foundations to the structure of the designs.
Custom iron gates, travertine entrance stairs, and accent lighting provided a welcoming sense of arrival to a front entrance and improved the street presence of the property.
Concrete and aggregate paving were introduced to add texture to other designs. Terracing, created layering and improved transition between spaces.
Custom fireplaces and water features provided courtyard ambience. Pergolas and archways gave depth, creating rooms within the spaces. The planting designs added form and structure, privacy, and a softening effect.
Tropical TextureA staggered design to a new pebbled driveway with tropical plantings of King palms, Alcantarea, and Mondo grass form a lush & textural front garden composition.
Devonport BusinessA new colour palette was selected for the makeover of a commercial building. Together with artificial turf design, the result created interest and an inviting presence within the village.
Contemporary HomeLevel changes and tiled water features create interest in the transition of spaces, from front to side gardens. Cypress punctuate the stepping stone pathway.
Mt Eden RenovationA water feature provided a cooling focal point in a rear garden, with a cantilever deck covering an existing kidney shape pool. Pleached Titoki trees and Eugenia hedging enclosed the space.
Formal EnclosureLayering of pleached Alders, Camellia underplantings and Buxus hedging provide a calming sense of enclosure in a formal garden. New pavers laid within the lawn provided access to a side area.
Concrete StructureFlagstone cut, coloured concrete together with a brutalist style fireplace and plastered walling form the structure in a rear courtyard. Wide stairs to the upper lawn create additional seating for entertaining.
Coromandel Resort A new pebbled, organic feature pool with lush tropical plantings created impact for a new resort entrance.
London CourtyardA mix of materials, plastered walling, decking, and tiles transform a London terrace house. Mediterranean plantings softened the effect.
Lodge LandscapeA new planting scheme with sculptural elegance offset the scale and form of the lodge's portico entrance.
Modern Linear ThemeTropical palms provide structure and balance the height of the home. Mondo grass strips soften the new pebbled paving, Bromeliads add interest in the staggered planting beds.
